Explorer Scouts are young people, aged between 14 and 18 years old and we make up the fourth Section of the Scouting family (after Beavers, Cubs and Scouts). There are many types of Explorer Scout Units, some may be linked to a local Scout Group, others may be based around different activities.
Not all Units meet each week, because we are often be out and about at weekends or in the holidays doing activities. There are times when we are busy doing other things such as exams, but being an Explorer Scout can fit around these things.
As an Explorer Scout, you get the chance to work with other Explorer Scouts in your District, not just your Unit. Which means we get to do all the activities that the other units offer not just our own.
