The Mayor of Romsey has invited explorer scouts and leaders to be involved in the War Horse Memorial Parade.
Romsey School and Mountbatten School have both confirmed they are happy for pupils to be absent to attend this event.

Friday 3rd July 2015
Parents to drop Scouts and Guides at the Broadlands main gate at 11.45am and Scouts and Guides to make their way to the car park (200 yards inside gate) for a 12.00 briefing.
Parade will set off at 1.00pm (parade route: Palmerston Street, Broadwater Road, Bell Street, market place, The Abbey/ The Meads, The Memorial Park).
Princess Royal will take the salute in the Market Place – Leaders to announce “eyes left”.
Unveiling of statue in the Memorial Park at 2pm and then military section of parade will return to Broadlands and the remainder (including Scouts and Guides) will stay in the park.
Parents to pick up Scouts and Guides at 3pm in the Memorial Park.
